Another option is www.aggressivehosting.com, several of my friends recommend it highly for stability and security and have things hosted on it themselves. But I've not used that either. I'd personally use ipowerweb if my host wasn't free and stable and secure just for the 30-day money back guarentee, hard to go wrong with that :)

It seems that it's a new domain. The hosting link on this page goes to www.valueweb.net
Did this change from the last time you went there?

It's .net btw, just figured that out, but it's still down or something lol.

Last year I was using Dot Easy for my website host.
http://www.doteasy.com

This year I switched to Blue Domino.
http://www.bluedomino

I liked them both, but I think I like Blue Domino a bit more because they let me do server side includes, PHP and all kinds of other things.

Just throwing some ideas at ya. :)

Update:

1mhost.net is a reseller though Sterlet.NET which was bought out by unixhoster.com. They don't offer multiple domains, but in an email reply they are offering a discount if I buy multiple plans. Thinking about this one.

bluedomino doesn't appear to do multiple hosting, and other than the express plan are too expensive. Also the express plan doesn't offer enough webspace and according the the faq "If you need to get more space or email accounts, it's far easier just to upgrade...". Yeah, right.

ipowerweb has yet to reply to my email. (However I sent it Saturday, and it appears the sales dept has today off for veteran's day.)

FYI: doteasy is my domain name registar. Makes a good free "backup" website if need be. (I hope it doesn't come down to that since no php)

Yeah, I'm picky. But keep them coming. I do appreciate it. I'm also looking through some of the hosts at http://www.findmyhosting.com/

No need to paste the plan info here, just a link is fine, since most of the stuff in "feature lists" I don't care about. ;)

Thank for the link though. I'm looking now.

Ah, never mind on that one. While it's nice that they have the terms of service quite visible, they are actually unacceptable.

"Also, there can be no applications stored in your web space, including but not limited to zip files for .exe files. "

In other words, No downloads. Yeah right.

I just dropped in to say, if you ever need temporary hosting Web/FTP send me an email cfaust@sport.rr.com I can spare you some space here, only if you need it. If you have found your host, disregard this message, but I figured I'd at least offer.

You can at least look at the only web site I have here :) http://kronechoes.ods.org. It's not a commercial hosting site/program, it's completely private, You can offer downloads and such. The only thing I request is no warez, or porn. :) This is in addition to the previous message I posted.

hi, guess you don't know me

I'm the admin of the darkside www.tdsshard.com

currently I'm talking to quicksilver to find me a host,

http://pub21.ezboard.com/fthedarksideshardfrm1

read the thread.

if you're willing to pay, we can share.
basically, my budget is 500+ on setup and 150+ monthly, but if quicksilver can get me a dedicated 4mbps/sec line on a multihomed network with great ping at 210 + , wouldn't you say its value for money?

Well, honestly, That's a bit rich for my blood. I'm looking for a hosting plan for under $200 a year, since all I need it for is this (and a couple other small) websites.

I was unable to view the thread though but it said I'll get an email to access it.

Ryandor,

Ok sorry about that, in the future if I find one I think might work for you I will post the link. It's hard to find one like you are looking for, glad I just needed a simple one. :)

I co-own a web hosting comapny. We charge $60 a year for 50 MB space and all the email forwards you want. We support ssi, ssh, web, ftp, shells, php, mysql, and more. And also have the best support services you could ever need.

Can't beet $60 a year.

But 50MB isn't enough space. I've not been looking for ultra cheap, but certain other things as well.

However, it appears my search may be over. I contacted a host this morning and received a prompt and satifactory reply. Once the details are worked out and the everything is in place for the move I'll be letting everyone know.

I'd like to thank everyone for there inputs in this.

try www.rnahosting.net

they have killer plans (I use them)

There started plan is $5 a month (though they'll give you a discount, they always do) and it gives you 300mb of space, 10gb of monthly transfer, 100 emails, 100 subdomains, FP extensions, anything you can think of!

They really rock, I mean it.

The tech support is amazing, too.
