tdv mulpatcher. not that easy to get for a non german speaking person, but a great tool: it can edit gumpart, gumpidx, texidx, texmaps, artidx, art, tiledata, anim, soundidx, sound, radarcol.mul and anim.idx.

i uploaded it to my webspace: http://www.matonor.de/gpp_2.2.exe

unfortunately there is just a german tutorial: http://naddel.torderverlorenen.de/Mulpatcher_Tutorial.htm

OK, I will talk to you ina bit! Where I am at right now...

I have found the tree images through inside uo and I am going to expand the tree seized by 25, 50, or 75% allowing for forest to have different size trees..It will also take some scripting in Dragon to place these as there will be 3 times as many trees because not only are there types but sizes.

I think Michaelangelo does let you do that, but I've never really gotten into replacing graphics (I'm spread too thinly as it is). While at first I thought you were nuts (well, you are nuts but anyway) I'm thinking this is actually a really good idea Cal. If you are just making the existing trees in larger sizes but still a single id (or 2 with leaves) it won't be any kind of work at all to make Dragon place them. It's a simple matter of adding lines to items.txt.

Damn! And I thought I was the only one with the resizing trees idea! ;P
Let me know if you find out how to resize them without getting "white" spots around the tree-images. heh..

white spots are a typical problem, which is cuased by wrong colors. the backgroudn has to be either true white or true black for transparency

Make the background RGB 0,0,0 (or true black) then change the size. Having the trees silhouted with a couple pixels of dark dark green (or brown or whatever color the black is blending with when stretching) will look alot better than white. If you want to leave the background white afterward, select RGB color 255,255,255 then set the paint bucket to contigous and the tolerance to 0, and click somewhere in the true black area.

That should solve the white halo problem.
