I've searched (probably missed the answer too) for this and have had no luck finding an answer. Does anyone know how I go about changing Malas, and the towns to custom names? I have my map in with no problem, just don't want to call it Malas.

For the map name, you need to change the name in scripts/misc/mapdefinitions.cs. For town names, you need to edit regions. I think the script is scripts/regions/malas/town.cs. You'll also have to edit the region definitions in data/regions.xml

You do understand that the only people who actually know its called Malas is your staff right? If you modify Moongate.cs and make it support strings, players would see the string not the localized message.

Other then that, players really do not know what the map is called, and besides that specfic modifcation ( could be others like it ), there is little reason to worry about what the map itself is called.
