As a few of you may know, I've been having hosting problems lately. Therefore I'm going to be actively looking for new hosting. If you have any suggestions for cheap hosting let me know. Reply to this here.

Unlimited bandwidth is a myth.
Plus I can't find any terms of service or other policies. They have something to hide?

Maybe I should be more clear:

how much bandwidth do you use ??

and that is a far cry from any terms of service I've ever seen.

I find that hard to believe.

and I still don't see any terms of service.

Also, $9 a month for unlimited? But yet they have more expensive plans that have limits? Sounds pretty shady to me.

Plus I don't see a muliple domain option. Do they have this?

You starting to sound like you work for them. Are you on some kind of referral program or something?

Enough.

Unlimited bandwidth = false advertising
No definative terms of service (the previous could be interpreted as an acceptable use policy)
No multiple domains
"99.9% Uptime Proven", yet no proof without contacting them? Right.

Sorry, I don't like the looks of this one.

Exactly. Then it is NOT unlimited. Therefore false advertising.

You can stop any time now. Nothing you say is going to convince me otherwise. It's not unlimited. Period.

Check out http://www.ipowerweb.com

No I don't work for them or have them hosting me, but they get great reviews in various other 'review' sites and the price is amazing for the bandwidth offered. No idea if they're good or not for stability, I don't use em :) TOS is linked at the bottom, probably have to contact them for multi-domain hosting though.

Merlin, give it up lol. There's no such thing as unlimited bandwidth on professional hosts, and he already said no.

ipowerweb looks like a possiblility. After looking in their help area, it apears that they do offer additional domains.
I've sent them an email asking for additional info.

Merlin: There is a good example of clear-cut Terms of service and Acceptable use policies. There is nothing vague about it; no "hidden catches", everything laid out from the outset. AND it's available from the home page. While you may find it's acceptable to "go with the flow", I require a professional host. About the only "downside" is they don't accept Rupees. Damn the luck.

Well, if I was in doubt (which I wasn't) I'm now even more positive I'd not go with highvim. I was just going to double check something and I went to their site, and well, the site isn't loading.

So I figured since Merlin's site is hosted by them, I'd check to see if he's affected, and well, his site isn't loading.

Need I say more?
