Bank of America is very pleased to announce
that we are installing new "Drive Thru" automatic teller
machines (ATMs) where our customers will be
able to withdraw cash without leaving their vehicles.
To enable our customers to make full use of these new
facilities, we have conducted extensive behavioral studies
to come up with the appropriate procedures for use. Please
read the procedure that applies to you (i.e., male or
female) and remember them when you use our new machines
for the first time.
PROCEDURES FOR OUR MALE CUSTOMERS
1. Drive up to the ATM cash machine.
2. Roll down your car window.
3. Insert ATM card into machine and enter PIN.
4. Enter amount of cash required, and withdraw.
5. Retrieve ATM card, cash and receipt.
6. Roll up window.
7. Drive off.
PROCEDURES FOR OUR FEMALE CUSTOMERS
1. Drive up to the ATM cash machine.
2. Back up the required distance to realign the car window with the ATM machine.
3. Re-start the stalled engine.
4. Roll down the window.
5. Find handbag, remove all contents on to the passenger's seat to locate ATM card.
6. Turn the radio down.
7. Attempt to insert ATM card into the machine.
8. Open car door to allow easier access to ATM machine due to the excessive distance from car.
9. Insert ATM card.
10. Remove ATM card and re-insert card the right way.
11. Re-enter handbag to find address book with your PIN written on the inside back cover.
12. Enter PIN.
13. Press "Cancel" and re-enter correct PIN.
14. Enter amount of cash required.
15. Check make-up in rear view mirror.
16. Retrieve cash and receive receipt.
17. Empty handbag again to locate purse wallet and place cash inside.
18. Place receipt in back of check book knocked onto passenger seat floorboard.
19. Re-check make-up.
20. Drive forward two meters, stop.
21. Back up back to ATM machine.
22. Retrieve ATM card.
23. Re-empty handbag, locate credit cardholder and place card in slot provided.
24. Re-start stalled engine and pull away.
25. Drive for two to three miles.
26. Release emergency brake.
