Virtual Dub + River Past video cleaner for the encoding of DivX and WMV respectively (but windows media encoder should be enough for the WMV if you get it to work.. i didn't).
Sony SoundForge for the little sound work that premiere couldn't handle.
If the PC doesn't catch up, which it usually doesn't .. its enough to have it in snag it on boost priority during capture.. this causes two things , one for snag it to capture most of the frames and the client to run in slow motion speed. After this all you need is to increase the speed of the videos in adobe premiere to match reality.. having flawless animation in the end even with many players on the screen lagging as hell.
