Anyone know where I could find a LOTR map? The one on Endore has lots of problems with it, and doesn't work right for me for some reason..

What problems?:O
What reason are you talking about?

http://angrenost.org/~morandir/endore.jpg here is the latest map.

Our one big problem was with "strange hole" in a map and has been resolved with teleport script in pol server.

Cool map. Looks a lot like the maps in the books, I think.

If your thinking about a UO shard based on Middle Earth I'd have to advise against it for your own good.

A long time German ME shard (UO Mitterlerde [sp?]) had been working on thiers for over 3 years. They recently (within the last few months) had a cease and desist letter come from someone representing either Tolkien Estate or Turbine. I can only assume it had something to do with LOTRO (Being that it was pretty much around the release date).

This obviously wasnt a fake, being that they DID cease all actions, closed it down, and released all code, websites, databases, etc to the public.

If you find thier old website, or dig into the web archive you should be able to find the message they left explaining it. If in german, google language tools work well :)

Thanks, I did find it. I am not really trying to make a shard. I just enjoy "playing" with a server. Scripting, mul editing etc...I have never had enough of a staff to make a successful shard. Nor do i have time. So this is just for fun. ANyways, the map is pretty good (doesn't seem finnished though...but that's ok). I do have one question though...but it would be off topic in this thread so i'll start a new one.
