After looking through my tutorial I realized that I forgot a step.
You need to run DragonSP to include the scp's that it creates. This will place the dynamic floor tiles and walls. Then go into WorldForge and tweak everything.

When you run run DragonSP, you'll see a list on the left side that has a bunch of scp's. Hit the button "select all", make sure your paths are right to the statics above, then hit Go/Start.

Then continue on with the rest of the steps, picking up at:
"Once your map is complete,..."

Sorry about the confusion.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

(I will be fixing the tutorial soon for this)

Ok. Looking at your pictures it appears that you are getting it right in the bmp. The number one thing for that is to make sure you have at least 3 tile wide border with black around the inside of the cave. And it looks like you got that. since your border looks good. The pictures I have in the cave making tutorial are exactly as they should be. The cave floor is made from the color that is on the 3rd row of the color table. Also, the cave entrance looks right as well.
Like I said, I don't think it is a bmp problem.

Where I see the problem is that there is no "decorations" in your picture like I have on my pictures in the cave tutorial. By decorations I mean the stalamites and rocks along the border in the cave.

Are you using DragonSP to freeze to scripts? If so then you should see these once you go in game. This is the only way it will work, since the script also creates new floor tiles as well. You cannot really see them until you "raise the roof" by painting mountains in WorldFoge. The way to check to see if in fact they are there before doing that is to click on the ground in game. If it says "cave floor" then those are static tiles and not part of the map (the map is below it at that point) and it's correct. If it does not say anything, that that is the map you've clicked and that means you do not have the statics in right.

Therefore I can say the problem is this:

1: You are not using my mod 8 or 9. Dragon, by itself, or older versions of my mod will NOT work. It MUST be mod 8 or 9.

2: You are not running DragonSP, or it is not running correctly. One problem some people have had with Dragon is selecting Sphere Statics vs. UOX Statics. As I mention in the map making tutorial, you MUST select Sphere Statics in order for DragonSP to work correctly. If it's not, then change it back to Sphere and re-run Dragon to generate the scripts. Then run DragonSP. Then you should be able to see the decorations in the cave.
Then at that point you can tweak via WorldForge.

It might be a good idea to review the map making tutorial as well. There is some general information in there that might help.
I hope this explains a little more the possiblilities.
If you still are having problems, please reply.

OK! Everything is looking good now! :) Whatever you did it's working now. Look at the edges of your cave! You've got decorations now. 8) Also, go in game and click the cave floor. You should get "cave floor" or similar now.
Now back up the map and statics files. Then go into WorldForge and "raise the roof" of the mountain.
From the cave tutorial:
Go to the area of the cave and start drawing mountain over the cave area. Pick a height roughly equal to the surrounding
mountain height, choose a brush size of 3 (the max) and select “random mountain” from the select mode list.

Slowly but surely you are getting it.
8) :D

Not a problem! I knew it was just a matter of time before you got it.

Let me know if there is any other questions.

I'm not sure since I've not treid to create that type of cave in the bmp for Dragon. At this point it might be easier to either create it by hand, or to copy it out of the Brit map using UOCopy.

I'll put it on my list of things to do.

As far as regular caves go, you can make then any width really. As long as it's four pixels wide or more in the bmp. I say 4 becuase that way, Dragon can create the mouth of the cave as correctly as it can.
