Post subject:  Copy parts of map to different map

Hi everybody, i'm new on this forum.

I am trying to take map0 (Felucca), fill everything with water except for the right part of the map (the one where the dungeons, green acres, and so on reside), and place tokuno in the middle of the map. so pretty much it would look like tokuno, except that there is much more water and it has a dungeon area.

I have been trying several different programs that I have read about on this forum, but I still haven't understood how to do this. Worldforge seems to not load my statics and map files, so I can't use that for some reason. Is there anybody kind enough to help me out with this? The steps seem simple, I just don't have the technical knowledge to perform them:

1) Fill Felucca with water, leaving the right part of the map intact
2) Copy the entire Tokuno map (map4) to the middle of Felucca, which is now water.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, tell me which programs to use or any other hint I'd greatly appreciate it. Of course I'd also appreciate a detailed tutorial for a complete newbie ;)

Well ....

The water part is easy. Take a look at CED from the RunUO boards, skip Worldforge its outdated now thanks to this.

His homepage for the utility is here ...

The Tokuno islands into Map0 is another issue. 1448x1448 sitting in the middle of 6144x4096 is gonna look like a 2 car carage in the middle of a football field.

BUT .... I would try RadMapCopy 2.2 if your heart is set on it.

As I'm at work, I can't walk you thru a step by step just yet.

If you got things set-up, fixed and completed already, with no instructions... Your less of a noob then you think :D

Glad it worked for you.
