This has probably been asked already and answered already, but I'm too lazy to search for it as I just woke up.

I'm seeing things from the previous map through my new one, and I need to figure out what file it is. Since the map is replacing Trammel/Fel I do believe the file is the dif file, but I just dont know how to replace it or what not. Any help?

just remove any DIF 0 or DIF 1 MULS, i think there's 3 each

You may also have to replace them with empty dif files, get them here

I might be wrong, but I'm wondering if in the latest client, they're no longer using the DIF files?

No, you are correct. They have stopped using the diff files and have created a new map for Trammel, Map1.mul, statics1.mul, staidx1.mul.
