I want to put trees in without putting in the moss tiles/broken logs/etc. I went into data/artdefinition, opened up forest.xml, and removed eveything but the tree i wanted. I used the forest brush, and it didn't work. Can someone help me out.

Thanks a bunch,
-BD

For forests, please check the following:

1. the terrain.xml you will see for the entries dealing with forest, a tag to a file name (no extension). Ensure that file exists in the data directory.

2. For the specified file, open it and ensure tileid's are valid.

No one was wrong, they just misunderstood what you were asking.

You don't have to remove the other items from the scripts, just set their weight to "0" and they will not appear or you can comment out the lines in the scripts so you can easily add them in later.

Yup thanks. Its been a couple month since this post. But i have all forests working, and i've already figured out the weight thing. And i've drawn stuff with ps, patched my verdata, and put them into my forests. If i'm coming off as rude, i'm sorry. I'm thankful to have you guys helping, but i was just dissapointed people try helping 5 months later. Anyway heres some stuff i've been working on, with my forest in the background. All on my custom map. FYI, this is a sphere shard, our verdata doesn't come with the snowmen, and the wreths. And the snowball is custom made, with custom explosion animation.

Don't worry about it, we all have our days

Sorry I missed your post some how and did not notice the dates when I posted my reply. I use Firefox so perhaps the cookies got cleared or something.

You did good work on your graphics and the picture is nice. I like the smoke coming from the chimney.

Haha, thanks. Its an animation i made, which is part of the verdata. I'm going to script it to be apart of the chimneys.
