Post subject: | Coast line help |
I'm not sure what to do next. I have my land, and everything with the land itself is perfect. But i have the brown tiles(shallow water) around my land, and i believe i need to static some water tiles around it. I've searched around, and the closest answer i've seen is that you need to get a static patch. I downloaded a static patch and have no clue how to use it. So my questions are... Where do i go from here to finish my coast line? If i do need to use a static patch to finish it off, which one would be best, and where can i download it at(link would be helpful)? Thanks -BD |

Oh sorry, forgot to mention that. I'm using map generator. Also i just downloaded UO Coast, i ran it, and it said finished or whatever. I replaced the map in my uo dir, looked in game and it did nothing. |

I put random statics on and it didn't do anything different. Heres a pic of my terrain.bmp and my altitude.bmp. (Just a pic of the test islands) Oh and the screen shot above is taken on the small grass island. |

make sure your swatches match the program your using, I've made mistakes on switching colors and what not, and make sure your shallow is out about 5-6 pixels to get a good transition and what not, I've had that problem before with me not checking the water close enough, off by a few hex numbers so yeah |

The lands perfect, so i think the swatches are fine. However, i just randomly outline the edge of the land with shallow water. I'll try making them exactly 6 tiles away and see how it works. Thanks. |

well don't check the land check the water, because thats where the problem is, I had grass and no water, but water like you had, and that was because my water color was slightly lighter then the programs water color |

I knew that had to be a static problem, i just couldnt think of what exactly it was. Because all shallow water is Art Tiles, and all deep water is Terrain Tiles. |
