This is more of comment seeking your personal thoughts. There is no right or wrong answer... I guess 
But most custom maps have your snow terrain at the north of the world and your jungle terrian at the south... Where would you place the desert and the swamp lands? I have a shell of a map made but this has been a question on my mind for about and hour now and i am stuck lol Ronin |

well, swamps are generally in low valleys in a more temperate climate, and deserts tend to be surrounded by mountains that divert wind moving storms away from them, so decide where the wind is blowing on your map and then from there you can determine different climates of different regions |
