1. Is is possible to convert a full map into a dif file, Same with statics in order to get 2 maps out of tram and fel rather than just the same?

2. There was once a program that converted normal map0.mul into the correct size for map2.mul and map3.mul is it still floating around the boards and is there one that will do the same for tokuno?

Ok thats all hehe

I've got that somewhere, I will need to dig around for it. It won't work for Tokuno tho.

Dif files are for placing statics onto already created maps i thought

Dif files allow one to replace any map block, in either the map.mul or statics.mul with new data. They are used for both terrain and art entries.

It requires the server to send the client a packet to activiate the entries in the dif file.

It is the only way to have facets that share the same base map/static files (Fellucia and Trammel), have different terrain or art.

No, dif files are what produce the differences between map0 and map1 (fel and tram). They can have completely different map tiles.

I've never done this myself, but this thread might put you on the right track.

**edit** curse you, punt... if I hadn't looked up the thread... :P

uoworldcopy?
Should be under Ryandor's downloads. Otherwise most of us have copys of it. There are 2 very different ones with similar names. You want the one that Darus wrote.

Also mapgenerator2 (worldmaker.ryandor.com) does any size map you want. We are still working on it but it is very functional.

Are you the RoninGT from RUO forums?

Didnt abandon it... Just been busy with real life stuff. I redone it from the core up. Its almost ready for public testing but considering when i released it it was in beta and full of bugs. I didnt want to release this one till i was sure it was stable for servers. I am holding off till i see the core / code changes in RunUO v2.0.0 before i release any of my updated scripts. I have a few new ones to show :)

Awesome. Yeah, I know it was buggy, I messed around with it some....but full of potential and I just love the concept. Been throwing around the idea of a shard with the only towns on it using this system.
