Im getting an error that MSCOMCTL.OCX is invalid or missing when i try to run the program...I downloaded this program from 4 different sites and this happened on all of them. How do i fix this?

MicroSoft COMmon ConTroLs is what that file has to do with. Have you tried Googling for just that file? That might produce better results, as it has nothing to do with the program itself, other than that the program uses it. I forget how you get that file normally...

This usualy happens with transitions from Win98 developed VB applications to WinXP. This cuz MS changed the ocx between OSes.

Easyest sollution is to get a copy of it, and place it in the program directory.

Let me know what version of windows you are using, and I can provide the correct OCX.

If he googles it he will find plenty of places to download it. The same for the other 2 which are probably going to come up complaining after he installs the first.

That is actualy quite dumb and redundant.... I just said what caused it, so you need the old one :/
