New to the tool set, things are looking good, I do have 1 question however. How do you make a beach with waves lapping on the sand? I know the system auto sets the -5Z cliff from Grass 0 to Shallow Water 0. But what if I want them both at Z0 to have a normal looking Beach?

Is real beaches even possible with the current mechanics?

Thanks in adv.
Pal

My problem is also related with beaches. I've made a paradise island-alike island with PS CS and MapGen2, but the shores look like this:

Water is at z=-5 and beach at z=0.
How should I draw the beaches so that they look smooth?

not that I am the one to provide answers...but perhaps its because your beach is sitting higher than the sea.

Considering its facing north, you wouldnt be able to see any steep transition from the higher shore.
I would think theyd have to be at the same height in order to have the transition look right.

But, then again, Im a newb. :D

I believe the beach transition set is incomplete in MG2.

If anyone happens to complete the beach transitions, please share your work here. I think its the only major transition set that wasn't finished.

Just create small border of normal sand around the beach, that'll work out.

Im having the same problem....I cant get my beaches on level with the water. I tried the above to no avail, though Im not sure if the surrounding sand was a sollution to the beach problem or Epze's coastlines.

I have resigned myself to it can't be done with Dragon

I just added this to the "Worldforge edits after Dragon compiles" list
