World Forge doesn't create statics so no forest with that program, Worldmaker does create forest but I remember that one of the forest indexes worked while the other did not. Try the "mixed forest" and see if that helps.

Check in your scripts folders, there was a forest that worked but I cannot remember which one. It should have the same name as the color index box.

Ok, i have tryed all 3 forrest types on my map: forest,mixed forest, and Rough Forrest. All 3 have not produced any trees on my map.

Image

this is what my terrain.xml says:
<Terrain Name="Forest" ImgIndex="64" Hash="0x40" Tile="196" Red="0" Green="110" Blue="90" BaseAltIndex="80" />
<Terrain Name="Rough Forest" ImgIndex="65" Hash="0x40" Tile="196" Red="0" Green="130" Blue="90" BaseAltIndex="80" Adjust="-1,1" />
<Terrain Name="Mixed Forest" ImgIndex="66" Hash="0x40" Tile="196" Red="0" Green="74" Blue="35" BaseAltIndex="80" ArtKey="Forest" />

is any of this messing it up?

Only one of those has a forst, the one with the ArtKey tag.

Check to ensure its value has a corressponding file with it. Ensure those values have weights greater then 0.

The Mixed forrest has the art tag.
<Terrain Name="Mixed Forest" ImgIndex="66" Hash="0x40" Tile="196" Red="0" Green="74" Blue="35" BaseAltIndex="80" ArtKey="Forest" />

but what do you mean by "Check to ensure its value has a corressponding file with it"

By weight he means in the scripts like this

<RandomArt Name="Tree grey, green leaves" Weight="8">

If it is "0" then there is no chance the tree's will appear.

Another thing to try is to make sure your "Random Art" box under the "Map Destination Directory" is checked.

I have the same probleme here... but instead of the forest, its the jungle (...and btw, every single tile set that ive put in :) :)

Ive looked down in the corresponding xml and all seem normal. The weight is higher than 0, the terrain.xml got an ArtKey tag for the one i try and i cheked the random art box under the map path... put nothing more!! all my land is empty of art!

You check the "Random Art" box?
