** Yes this is step 2. Sorry, i never did step 1. oops. I want to go back to this at some point.

I've been hired to do maps (for money, and been paid) by no less than two whole people. That's pretty cool considering how small the entire map making community is. i figure it's time to start giving back to the community, so last time I did some work on a map i documented the process so that someone could hopefully find it useful.

Yeah, nice one :)
Maybe you could just add a note in there though as to what photoshop version you use in the tut. like, PSP 7, or PhotoShop 8, whatever.

Well, i'm using Psp6, but it is partially the same than any futurous psp's. There is selection modifiers are used and it is issue of all psp avaliable now, and there is no mean which of them you are use...

Very interesting trick. I'll check how it's looks like.

P.S. WHERE IS MAPMAKING COMUNNITY!?! Write me in! I want to make free maps for people! :twisted:

Perhaps I'll write a new tutorial as well.

I'll call it "How To Spend The Rest of Your Life Working On One Map using nothing but UOX3 0.70.03.24b and WorldForge", and it will be about a hood of brothers, a brotherhood if you wish, who have to take this dangerously precious monocle and cast it into the Great Ravine, lest the Big Bad Man with lousy eyesight get his hands on it. They'll be aided by a magician, Rincedalf, who'll also enlist the services of a man with a growth-predicament, a man with a big sword, a man with a shield and a fairy. The brotherhood of the monocle, I'll call them.
